Our Story
I’ve always had a quiet desire to create something beautiful, designed by me, for others to enjoy — and MYRN Silk started with a very simple idea.
Like most people, our bedroom is fairly generic: grey bedding and light blue walls, definitely not an interior design statement. My fashion choices are much the same (white T-shirt, jeans), but I’ve always loved adding a splash of colour with statement pyjamas — bold patterns and bright hues, the kind of prints I’d never wear out but love to own.
When I first started using silk pillowcases, I instantly noticed the difference in my long hair - it felt smoother, shinier and stayed cleaner for longer. My hair stopped looking quite like I’d been dragged through a hedge by morning and the best bit - my daughter’s gorgeously thick bird’s nest became far easier to tackle. But finding designs I truly loved? That was another story. So I had a crazy thought one day and decided to create them myself.
I've never owned a business before, so at first I researched the idea secretly, working out what it might cost and finding the right suppliers. Then it came to actually moving forward - I had to tell my husband and that was the scary part. Was he going to think I was mad, investing our hard earned savings in a new business idea totally unknown to us? But he loved it and wanted to be involved. He saw the opportunity to completely transform our family dynamic, own something together and create more flexibility for our future.
So this is why I'm doing it...
Working from our home in Guildford, my husband and I have poured our hearts into creating prints that bring a touch of luxury and colour to bedtime. In collaboration with our UK designer, our ideas are brought to life through unique, hand-drawn printed silk, inspired by all that is beautiful in nature.

From day one, it was important that we created a high quality product offering, that delivered comfort, joy and luxury all at once. Our silk pillowcases, eye masks and scrunchies are made from 25 momme, pure 6A grade mulberry silk — offering a beautifully luxurious feel while being made to last. And you might now be wondering about the name, MYRN? It's pronounced "Mir-ren", named after our daughter who has the most fabulously thick, gorgeous and wavy hair.
